HELP END THE CHINESE DOG AND CAT MEAT TRADE

The Chinese Ministry of Food and Agriculture stated in 2020 that it is “inappropriate” to list dogs as livestock and, in line with the UNFAO and World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) lists, did not include dogs on the National Catalogue of Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources.

Yet, tens of thousands of dogs and cats are still being eaten in China, and dog farms and dog festivals remain prominent.

Urge FAO Director-General Mr Dongyu to request the Chinese government end this cruel and archaic trade.
