AMAZON CONTINUES TO SELL CRUEL GLUE TRAPS IN GREAT BRITAIN
Glue traps are extremely and unnecessarily cruel. Trapped animals endure severe injuries, starvation and dehydration lasting hours or even days before death.
Glue traps also kill completely indiscriminately, often leading to the deaths of non-target species such as songbirds, bats and even pets. As such, not only are glue traps brutal and outdated, but they are also harmful for biodiversity and can have tragic unintended consequences.
Wales and Scotland both have comprehensive bans on all usages of glue traps. In England, only licensed professionals are still permitted to use them in exceptional circumstances. However, on Amazon.co.uk glue traps are cheap, easy to find and most importantly, come with no warning that customers are likely unknowingly breaking the law, risking large fines and even prison time by using them.
ADI has contacted Amazon urging them to remove all glue traps from the Amazon.co.uk marketplace but we need your help.
